People working in industry know the effect of alloying elements on density

These people don't have a degree in engineering

 It needs to be mentioned in books why alloying elements change the density

Actually, the density-composition correlation is a very complex topic to discuss in a very generalized manner. The behavior or trend changes from system to system....that is why it can not be found in the form of any book which deals with general concepts.

I agree but my situation becomes embarrassing if a person without proper education knows little bit about density and composition correlation  even without knowing exact theory behind that correlation. 

These people know a little bit about density composition correlation because of their practical experiences
